Advice for Wind Monitoring
Why let Wind NI carry out your wind resource analysis?
Our wind engineers are fully trained in advanced energy yield analysis, siting and complex design; offering the highest level of service possible to our clients.
We offer fully calibrated equipment for the advanced monitoring campaigns. Our anemometers all have traceable certificates ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and reliability.
Wind NI’s remote monitoring system allows site data to be accessible at any time. Using GPRS technology, we can manage our client’s data and ensure everything is being monitored correctly at all times.
Data that is collected is transported through the internet and stored on servers which are secure and backed up regularly, minimising the risk of losing valuable statistics.
Our systems all use Solar PV to ensure the battery has the longest possible lifespan minimising the risk to data loss. In the event of a failure, we will be notified immediately.
Wind shear is measured by the installation of a 3rd anemometer lower down in the mast, this is vitally important for proper site analysis.
Detailed informational report will be supplied to our client including wind roses, wind speeds, wind directions, temperatures and battery level information.
A comprehensive study is carried out after the campaign is closed using our state of the art software and analysis models. This can provide extremely accurate payback analysis and long term viability of a project using a combination of potential turbines.
We can also provide a wind resource and energy yield assessment to a level specific to our client’s requirements and their level of intended investment. This can range from a basic data analysis to a full investigation which would incorporate; correlations to other weather stations, long term site predictions and wind shear / wind turbulence analysis also.
All packages can be tailored to suit our client’s needs, please contact us for more information.
