Advanced Wind Resource Monitoring Campaign (3/6/12 months)

This is our advanced monitoring campaign and is recommended for installations of all small to medium scale wind turbines (20kw-850kw).  The duration of this package can be for 3, 6 or 12 months. Prices are based on duration.

The following package is based on a maximum mast height of 35m which would be suitable for all turbines of up to 40m hub height. For larger turbines than this please contact us for a quotation.

1. Site survey for mast siting.
2. Installation of equipment and configuration.
3. Remote monitoring for entire duration.
4. Regular backup of the data.
5. De-commissioning of the mast and equipment.
6. Wind resource and energy yield assessments.
7. Professional data analysis and written report.

Equipment Supplied on a Rental Basis

1. 2 x Fully calibrated NRG anemometer’s with traceable certificate.
2. Wind vane for direction logging.
3. 3rd Fully Calibrated anemometer at 15m/20m to gather wind shear data.
4. Battery monitor to prevent power failure and loss of data.
5. GPRS communication to internet for remote logging, monitoring and backup of data.
6. Solar PV kit to maintain battery charge level.
7. 35m wind mast.
8. Guy tied support for extreme wind speeds.

Why are accurate on-site wind resource measurements so crucial?

It is the ONLY way to provide an accurate representation of the actual wind regime of a site and its viability.

Good anemometry is the key factor in removing the uncertainty and risk element that can be found in wind energy developments.

Wind measurement and analysis is one of the most important stages of early project feasibility and analysis.

When it comes to sourcing finance, the data from a wind data campaign is crucial to prove to the lender/investor (and yourself!) that your development will be profitable.
